Description: This resource provides contour data representing the distribution of thermal gradients within a specified geologic unit in Indiana in a geodatabase and shapefile, as well as a web feature and web map service. The data includes attributes (bottom-hole temperature, well depth, location) extracted from the Indiana Geological Survey petroleum database (http://igs.indiana.edu/pdms/), as well as average surface temperature data derived from PRISM climate data (http://www.prism.oregonstate.edu). This resource was compiled by the Indiana Geological Survey and made available for distribution through the National Geothermal Data System.
